PHYSICAL: Manual work outdoors (painting, planting, light handling). Bring sunscreen and water in case of heat.
EMOTIONAL: Working in a facility that welcomes children and teenagers with disabilities - sensitivity and kindness required.
EQUIPMENT: Possibly bring spare clothes.
Description
CONTEXT: The IEM (Motor Education Institute) of La Buissonnière, managed by APF France Handicap, welcomes children and teenagers with motor disabilities. The facility offers them educational, pedagogical, and therapeutic support tailored to their needs.
OBJECTIVE: Renovate the 433 m² patio to create a stimulating, pleasant, and safe outdoor space, contributing to the well-being and fulfillment of the young people welcomed.
PLANNED ACTIVITIES:
• Plant beautification: planting adapted vegetation (planters, flower boxes)
• Artistic creation: making murals and painted decorations
• Landscaping: setting up decorative elements to brighten the space
IMPACT: Offer children a more colorful and welcoming living environment for their relaxation and outdoor activities.
