Description
Over one or two full days (to be defined depending on the number of registrations), come and take part as a team in a hackathon supporting La Fourmilière's development and sustainability, alongside the association's board, active volunteers, and salaried staff!
Background: like many associations today, La Fourmilière struggles to renew itself, stay attractive and remain financially self-sufficient. With a very small salaried team and the rest of the active members being volunteers (less available and/or non-expert), we need a helping hand!
Objectives: put your strategic, operational and logistical skills at the service of an association soon turning 10, to help it renew itself and remain attractive and operational, all supported by the association's salaried team! La Fourmilière has introduced more than 20,000 people to volunteering and citizen engagement over the past 10 years. Help the association to:
- find new funding sources,
- propose attractive projects for volunteers, salaried staff, sponsors and financial or non-profit partners,
- renew its activities, projects and events,
- develop projects still at the idea stage,
- sustain the association over time,
- design short-, medium- and long-term strategies.
Indicative agenda:
9:30 — Welcome
10:00 — Mutual introductions between consultants and volunteers
10:30 — Presentation of La Fourmilière's activities and engagement opportunities beyond Powerday
11:00 — Brainstorming in a full group or smaller groups (depending on the number of registrations) on the objectives listed above
13:00 — Lunch break
14:00 — Action plan based on the ideas developed in the morning
17:00 — Discussion and day's wrap-up
18:00 — End of the day
