Description
In the Fausses-Reposes forest, located in the Yvelines (78) and Hauts-de-Seine (92) departments, an invasive exotic plant species — the Caucasian laurel, or cherry laurel (Prunus laurocerasus) — is taking hold at the expense of native temperate-forest species such as oaks, beeches, chestnuts and maples. One of EFR's objectives is to contain the spread of these aggressive shrubs by uprooting them.
