Description
For 25 years, the Zéotrope company has been reinventing a Theater that aims to be at the heart of the City and is above all a place of life, encounter, sharing, and exchange with, as a prerequisite, artistic creation.
We imagine participatory and inclusive artistic projects that allow all those who wish to take part in what is being created. The show is only the destination of a journey where nothing is written in advance so that everyone can find their place. The artist creates in continuous exchange like a great conversation. They adapt and share their creative process, give direction and above all, let themselves be surprised.
We thus defend our dream of a Theater that does not place the artist above or outside the City but indeed at its heart like any citizen.
For 25 years, we have been imagining projects that lead us to explore a territory (city, neighborhood, institution...), to meet its inhabitants and invite them to become creators to bring Theater to life with us. Each project is part of a duration because each territory has its own identity that we must first discover before any idea of artistic creation. But once Theater is possible, everything can be source and material for the creation of show(s).
